Over the last couple of years, you redid some of our bathrooms, built 2 beautiful dressing rooms and built a new wine cellar for us. All the work was perfect and beautiful. You did it on a timely basis and we never had to follow up. You took the time to search for the right materials with us and made sure you listened to what we really want to accomplish. You were patient when we were unsure. But more than that, you demonstrated an awareness that our house was special, and you exhibited great judgment so that the changes were not only beautiful but also wholly consistent with the style and era of our home. My wife and I decided to build a 3-car free-standing garage on our property. We had another contractor estimate the job. His simple one-page proposal omitted half the required work. Steven came and gave us a seven-page detailed proposal that encompassed all details of the job. Our friends had highly recommend Sterling to us. They and their sons had used Sterling many times. We went with Sterling. The village of Oyster Bay Cove is very particular regarding building codes and practices. Sterling knew all about what the village expected. They got us the required permits and there were never issues with the village. Joe and his team did a terrific job exactly as written in the contract. We had existing (discontinued) stonework which had to be matched. Stephen and Joe searched and ultimately found stone from differing lots to exactly match what we had. Halfway through the job we decided to add a generator and underground propane tanks. Stphen and Joe gave us precise pricing prior, including overseeing the extensive electrical and plumbing work. We are very happy we chose Sterling and would highly recommend them.
